Thursday, September 19, 2019 - Vancouver to Whistler, BC

I was so happy that Sue had the idea to ride north to Whistler.  It took a couple of hours and it was along the water much of the way.  The views were as magnificent as all the other mountain views with some glaciers thrown in for good measure.

As you can see from this sculpture, Whistler hosted the Winter Olympics in 2010.

We drove around some of the Olympic Villages, now condos, and then caught a ride up Blackcomb Mountain in a gondola.  There were few folks there on this cloudy September day.  Allan and I had the ride to ourselves and that provided ample opportunity for photo's.

There was a huge building at the top that housed a cafeteria, ski shop, and gift shop.  We had a tasty lunch.  While we were up there the weather closed in on us even more.

The troops working their way back to the parking lot.  Yet another wonderful outing.
